We at CommonsInterface acknowledge that changes can arise, and we are committed to enforcing a refund regulation that is both transparent and equitable. This document details the conditions under which refunds are granted for services related to yacht charters.
Prior to booking, thoroughly review this policy. When you proceed with a charter booking through CommonsInterface, it is understood that you accept and consent to the terms of the refund agreement.
Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule
More than 72 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Complete refund minus the charges for handling
Processing Time: Within 5 to 7 business days
Handling Charge: €50 for transactions via credit card
Conditions: Must be filed in a written format through email or via telephone
24-72 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Half of the full cost of charter
Processing Time: Processed within 7-10 business days
Handling Fee: €25 deducted from the refund amount
Conditions: Valid justification required; includes administrative expenses
Less than 24 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: No reimbursement available
Exception: Emergency situations may be taken into account
Alternative: A credit for future charters could be offered at our discretion
Conditions: Evidence required for claims due to emergencies
Weather-Related Cancellations
Guarantee Against Inclement Weather
Clients' safety remains the utmost priority. Should the certified captain ascertain the weather to be too hazardous for the charter to proceed, we furnish you with flexible alternatives:
- Full Refund: Should rescheduling be impossible, a full refund is granted
- Reschedule: Charter on the next availability at zero extra cost
- Charter Credit: Attain a credit good for one year from the original charter date
Procedure for Weather Evaluation
Weather conditions are rigorously evaluated including:
- Study of wind patterns and intensity
- Survey of sea status and wave elevation
- Forecast concerning visibility and precipitation
- Advisements and cautions from the Coast Guard
- A safety assessment conducted by a competent captain
Decisive Timing: Decisions regarding weather-induced cancellation are made at a minimum of 4 hours before the planned departure.
Medical Emergency Refunds
Scenarios of Urgency
We are sympathetic to the fact that medical urgencies can arise unexpectedly. The following examples may warrant special consideration:
- Unexpected medical conditions or injuries leading to hospital confinement
- Bereavement within the immediate kin
- Enlistment or emergency recall in the military
- Mandates by court or jury obligations
- Natural catastrophes impacting travel routes
Requirements for Proof
For consideration of an emergency refund, please furnish:
- Verification from a medical institution or hospital records
- Death attestation (where needed)
- Authorized military directives
- Summons from the court or jury service notices
- Official travel warnings or disaster proclamations
Refund Procedure: Emergency-based reimbursements are handled within a timeframe of 3-5 business days upon presentation of appropriate substantiation.
Operational Cancellations
Technical Dilemmas
In the event that the yacht allocated to you undergoes mechanical issues that remain unresolved:
- Substitute Option: Our aim is to supply an equivalent replacement
- Total Reimbursement: Should there be no available suitable alternatives
- Proportionate Refund: In case the substitute vessel diverges in pricing
- Recompense: Supplemental remuneration might be provided for the trouble
Availability of Crew
On the uncommon occasions when a licensed crew is not procurable:
- Efforts to arrange a backup crew will be made when feasible
- Entire refund if the charter is unable to occur
- No-cost scheduling for a future date
Refund Processing
Method of Reimbursement
The mode of refund correlates with the initial payment method employed for the booking:
- Credit Cards: 5-7 business days for processing
- Bank Transfers: 7-10 business days for completion
- Cash/Cheque: Refunded within 3-5 business days

Processing for Bank Deposits
€25 fee imposed on all refund transactions via bank transfer
Handling for International Payments
Additional costs may be applicable for international transactions
Credits for Charters
Occasions for Credit Issuance
In select scenarios, credits for charters might be dispensed as an alternate to direct refunds:
- Last-minute cancellations (under 24 hours)
- Cancellations due to adverse weather
- Requests to voluntarily reschedule
- Interruptions in operations
Stipulations for Credit
- Duration of Validity: One-year validity starting from date of issue
- Non-transferability: Credits cannot be exchanged among parties
- Monetary Value: Equals the total value of the charter without service charges
- Application: Usable towards any available charter
- Expiration: No extension beyond the 12-month period
Partial Refunds for Incomplete Service
Disruptions in Service
If your time aboard is cut short or interrupted by events within our purview:
- Refund proportional to the unused portion of the service
- Credit equivalent to a future charter of the same value
- Additional complimentary services or upgrades may be offered
Interruptions Caused by Guests
If a charter concludes prematurely due to actions or safety infractions by the guests:
- No reimbursement for the unused duration
- Full charge of the charter remains applicable
- Possible ancillary fines
Settling Disputes
In the event of disagreement concerning a decision on refund, the following options are available:
- Request a subsequent assessment by our senior management
- Submission of additional substantiation or proof
- Contact consumer rights organizations for a solution
- Explore legal resolutions under the governing law

Step 3: Evaluation and Execution
Our team will confirm receipt of your appeal within a day, review the request relative to this policy, make a determination within two days, and conduct the authorized refunds following the specified timings.
Essential Reminders
- All requests for refunds need to be made in writing
- Refunds are completed in € regardless of the original currency used for payment
- Purchasing travel insurance is highly advised
- This policy can be modified with prior notice of 30 days
- Refunds are subject to the relevant taxes and legislation
